Scott M. Estill is Managing Partner at Lancor and also looks after the New York office. With nearly 30 years of M&A, financial services, and executive recruiting experience, Scott serves C-suite and board-level multinational clients within the private equity and family office sectors. He co-leads the North American business, which assists private equity funds with originating transactions, appraising potential transactions, and sourcing industry experts for pre-acquisition due diligence and finding backable senior management teams through retained search assignments.

Before joining Lancor, Scott was the co-head of North America at Skillcapital and prior to that, Scott was a Partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ New York office, where he built their executive-led merchant bank.  He was also a member of the global Financial Services Practice and responsible for middle market banking, private equity and co-head of real estate.

Before joining Heidrick & Struggles, Scott was the Co-Founder and Director of Coady Diemar Partners, an investment bank focused on M&A, and was honored as one of M&A Advisor's 40 under 40 M&A professionals in North America. Before CDP, Scott was a banker with DLJ, CSFB, and H&Q.

Scott received an MBA from both London Business School and Columbia Business School, and bachelor's degrees in economics, finance, and business management from Gettysburg College. He also graduated from the INSTEP economics program at Cambridge University.

Scott is on the Board of Part of the Solution ("POTS") an organization that serves approximately 3 million meals a year, while providing professional assistance, showers, clothing, and dignity for the most needy in the Bronx, NY.  He is also on the Board of Unison Advisors, an independent investment manager that specializes in valuation-based multi-asset strategies. Scott teaches PE and M&A at Columbia Business School and is also a guest lecturer for ACG / Fordman University.
