Kevin ConwayKevin J. Conway is the Vice Chairman of Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, a global private equity firm known for blending investment skills with operating capabilities to build great businesses.

Kevin joined CD&R in 1994 and is currently a member of the Management Committee and Chair of the Investment Committee. He served as Managing Partner of CD&R from 2004 to 2016. Kevin has chaired the Investment Committee since 2001, over which time CD&R has invested $20 billion to acquire more than 50 companies.

Prior to joining CD&R, Kevin spent ten years with Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he was elected a partner. He was a senior member of the M&A Department, advising corporate leaders and boards of directors on numerous transactions. Kevin also served as Chief of Staff of the Goldman Sachs Investment Banking Division (1992-1994) and as Global Head of Investment Banking Recruiting (1988-1991).

Kevin serves on several charitable and civic Boards, including the Carnegie Corporation (Investment Committee), Catholic Health Services, The New York Catholic Foundation, and Student Sponsor Partners (former Board Chair and now Vice Chairman).

Kevin is a magna cum laude graduate of Amherst College, where he was a joint political science and economics major and was awarded the Densmore Berry Collins prize at graduation. Kevin holds a joint degree from Columbia University, with an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and a J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.
