Lancor Appoints David Sanderson Non-Executive Chairman

Bain & Company Senior Partner and Director to Provide Strategic Advice and Counsel to Global Executive Search Firm and Its Affiliated Private Equity Fund

LONDON – January 5, 2015: Lancor, a leading global retained executive search firm, is pleased to announce that David Sanderson has joined the firm as its non-executive chairman. In this newly created role, Mr. Sanderson will provide advice and counsel to Lancor’s partners on various topics including firm strategy, governance and various growth initiatives including potential acquisitions. Mr. Sanderson will also serve as a special advisor to Lancor’s recently formed private equity affiliate, Lancor Capital Partners. Mr. Sanderson will continue to serve as a senior partner for Bain & Company.

David Sanderson is a partner and director at Bain & Company. Mr. Sanderson joined Bain in 1989 and in founded Bain’s Los Angeles office in 1995. Currently, he is the co-head of Bain’s global Telecom, Media and Technology practice. At Bain, he has advised both large enterprises and private equity investors across the TMT market. Previously, he founded and co-led eVolution Global Partners, an investment firm backed by Texas Pacific Group, Kleiner Perkins, and Bain. At Bain, Mr. Sanderson also served as an investment committee member for one of Bain’s internal private equity co-investment funds.

Mr. Sanderson has served on a number of boards including: the United Way of Greater Los Angeles, Ideaforest (, Fort Point Partners, MarketMIle (aka Ketera), and UCLA’s Johnson Cancer Center Foundation Board. He earned a master’s degree in business administration, with honors, from Stanford University, a Master of Science in Computer Science from Syracuse University, and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Math and Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
